In past years, Zürich has repeatedly been chosen as the city with the highest quality of life in the world. With its culture, nature and urban-style living, it’s a small paradise in the middle of Europe.

Numerous international corporations have chosen to locate in the Zürich area due to the many advantages as a business location. With almost 3.7 million inhabitants almost half the Swiss population live in the Zürich metropolis. With 1.5 million job holders, and 140'000 companies the Zürich area is the economic centre of Switzerland.

Today ETH hosts 21'400 students, including 4180 doctoral, students from over 120 countries and 530 professors. It is currently ranked 6. and 9. in computer science (QS 2020) which makes it the highest ranked university in continental Europe.
